"I passed someone on the start of the lap," explained Ackert, "and I just pinned it the whole way around. I could tell he [Carstensen] was gaining and was just on the last, climb when he pinned it a little more than I could. I tried to stay with him and it ended in a pretty close sprint. I'm really happy with how I rode, I didn't hold back at all."
